TNYC hosts a number of races throughout the sailing season, including Sunday morning races and our new Wednesday evening races. Race boats will normally keep their own time during the Sunday races. Ratings use PHRF for comparable boats.

Thursday Evening Races
After a survey of our racing fleet, more preferred Thursday for our mid-week races. Thursday Evening Races will all follow the same schedule:
Skipper’s Meeting: 1800 Warning: 1830
Start: 1830 Time Limit: 2100 (earlier in late August).
Course will be around the buoys inside Holyrood Bay and determined based on the conditions to allow all boats to finish before the time limit. Competitors will generally be expected to keep their own time and submit their results. The Thursday evening series will use high point scoring. With 3 competitors, a win will be worth 3 points, with 7 boats, a win will be worth 7 points, etc. The boat with the most points in each month will win that series.

Two days of racing scheduled to coincide with Squidfest. Festival details are yet to be announced.

Holyrood Cup & Commodore’s Cup – August 21, 2021
This will be a full Saturday of racing with lunch outside the TNYC clubhouse (pending COVID-19
regulations) between races. Please email brad.rixmann@gmail.com with the number of crew you will have so enough food will be available!
